week 12

this week was a small class. 5 people showed up. angela was sick, i stuck around for 40 mintues more to do some of my work but them i went home.

does this mean we have an extension? yes? yup, okay
anyways im handing in mine in late.

I was rather unproductive this week, don't know why considering its week eleven and i have so much due in by next week. I had a look at other students work and was really impressed, great to see everyone doing so well. I did get some of the animals legs done as homework. Hopefully its done before the due date.

Hey gang,

Finally handed in the how to! but after watching Leah M. Emerys project it made me hate mine and want to throw it at a brick wall.

Last week, I continued on my etoy, its going well and better then my how to assignment. I have all the backgrounds ready and all the fonts chosen, now all i have to do is get the sea animal parts drawn and put together. I rediscovered onion skin, which made it a lot easier to trace some of the animals, hopefully it will speed things up so i have enough time to screw up my actionscipt and still have enought time to fix it up before the due date.

the real week nine, i got the titles mixed up in my last post

How is it week 10 and we still havent been given ANY marks back? :S

This week we worked on our how to assignments.

Mines going nowhere to be honest. Think ill just hand in what ive done and hope for the best.

I'm a bit over this assignment, so Ive started my Etoy earlier. I think its pretty silly working on something that's worth 20% for a month and a bit,when our etoys are worth 40% and we only have 3ish weeks to do it.


Under The Sea came on while I was going through my Disney soundtrack on my computer and it inpired my project.

so here are my ideas for the etoy:

-under the sea theme
-sea creatures, you can change head/body, tails, tentacles, fins, etc
- blue gradient bg
-bubbles floating across screen
-ocean/bubble sound effect
-shells
-download fish dingbats to use as bg

hope it all goes well and gets done before the due date.

week nine.

Foshizzle, I havent blogged in while.

I was absent in week 8 so I cant really talk about what we did in class. I think we were working on the how to assignment.

This week there was no lecture and we went straight into the tute, where we were supposed to be working on our How To assignments.

I struggled a bit during class since I had given absolutely no thought whatsoever to the assignment till the day even though we had several weeks to think about it. The majority of my class time was spent googling ideas for the project and looking at photos on facebook. Half way through my intense researching I lost hope and starting playing bubble wrap with my new iphone. When I got bored of that, all of us outsiders from the ugly side of the room where the sun don't shine, migrated to the middle of the room and joined the rest of the pack. There, we formed a circle with our wheelie chairs and shared a deep and meaningful conversation about the negative effects of smoking. Soon it was 4.30 and we went home.

Now its the night before the assignmnet is due and ive only done three slides.
I procrastinated all week and now im screweddd.
Stressing is for losers, I'll hand it in on Monday. Possibly Tuesday since I have work and a party on the weekend. :)

week 5ive.

This week the Ecards were due at the end of class. Didn't really waste any time and the lecture was held in the lab so we could work on it some more. Luke and Angela helped us put the final touches on our work, this included adding sound effects on our buttons and music. I wasn't really feeling the music idea, but after watching it with sound I cant really imagine it without.

Everyones did really well from what I saw. Heaps of great ideas and designs, good to know people are getting the hang of flash as well.

week four

Im writing this blog in week 5, but technically its still week 4 for me because we havent had class yet. booyah

This week the lecture was held it in the lab, which was very helpful. Luke showed us how to use the filters which was handy for creating my lantern. Also, he told us that Angela was in a movie, ive watched the trailer twice and unless shes dress as Nicholas Cage, i cant spot her.

During the tute, i got started on making my lanterns using a graphics tablet, which made it a lot more easier. She also taught us how to make a button and make it interactive, however im finding it hard to make my button work on my ecard.

last week there was a video to watch and commented on, i forgot to add it in my blog last week, so i'll squeez it into this one. It was interesting but the voice over was unbelievably annoying.
